Strengths: Igor's chess understanding is very good. He has tons of experience, and seems to have very good results against strong opposition

Weaknesses: Igor plays lots of different openings. I heard that he plays whatever his students play at the time, and this can make him vunerable in the opening. He also seems to relax a little too much when playing weaker opposition.

Amusing Story:

Igor and I tied for first at the 2007 New England Open. At the beginning of the tournament Igor had requested a bye for round 5. After the tournament favorite, Alexander Ivanov, lost in the first round, the tournament was broken wide open. Igor tried to take back the 5th round bye he requested, but it was too late. Thankfully for him, there were lots of draws in round 5, so he was able to still tie for first.

Reason for this song choice:
Igor is a very carefree person, even during serious chess tournaments. He plays like chess is not that big of a deal.
